I have always enjoyed helping others learn and understand things in a simple and supportive way. I completed school through the 11th grade, where I developed strong skills in reading, writing, and foundational math. During my time in school I often helped classmates and younger students with homework, studying, and understanding lessons that were confusing to them. These experiences helped me realize that I enjoy teaching and explaining things in a way that makes learning easier and less stressful.
My tutoring style focuses on patience, encouragement, and breaking concepts down into smaller steps so students can fully understand the material. I believe every student learns differently, so I take the time to adjust my explanations depending on what works best for them. I like to use simple examples, practice problems, and conversation to help students build confidence in subjects like reading, spelling, writing, and basic math.
Most of my experience has been in one-on-one learning situations where I help students review homework, practice reading comprehension, and improve study habits. I enjoy working with elementary and middle school students because those early years are important for building confidence in learning. My goal as a tutor is to create a calm, supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace while developing skills that will help them succeed in school.
