Hi, I’m Kinsey! I graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Alabama with a degree in Management Information Systems (MIS) and have over 5 years of professional experience as a full stack software developer. During college, I was a Teaching Assistant for the Intro to Programming course and also tutored students on the side in both math and computer science. Since then, I’ve continued to help learners at all levels—from complete beginners to advanced students preparing for careers in tech.
My teaching style is flexible: I use structured lessons for students who prefer a clear plan, and a more relaxed approach for those who learn best through conversation and hands-on practice. I especially enjoy using creative analogies and visual methods to help students understand abstract concepts, memorize coding patterns, and apply their skills in real-world settings.
In addition to computer science and programming, I’m happy to assist with homework, projects, test prep, and professional development. I’ve worked with learners of all ages and backgrounds, and I love seeing students gain confidence as their skills grow.
I currently tutor online on weeknights and weekends, and I aim to provide not just knowledge, but also insight into the tech industry and problem-solving strategies that extend beyond the classroom.
