Latin

When I first began Latin in High School, I never realized how much it would help me throughout my life. Rarely does a day go by that I don't use what I've learned in Latin to make sense of something that I'm reading or something someone has said that 'm not familiar with. I also absolutely love learning foreign languages, and Latin influence is found in the vocabulary, grammar, syntax, etc., of many languages, not just the Romance languages, but also many other Indo-European languages, among other language families at least in small part. As a tutor, I can promise you that Latin learning will be fun. It will be a historical journey through various original and classical texts. It will be a preparation for life, from various occupations to everyday conversations. Possibly most importantly, it will be extremely fun, and you will be amazed at how easily you will be able to learn a foreign language. Latin is a very logical language, and it will click very quickly. You will be reading, writing, and even speaking Latin in the very first couple of sessions we have together, and doing it at a much higher level not long after.

Logic

While I do not have a career explicitly focused on teaching logic or a similar discipline, during my undergraduate studies, both for and other than the coursework for my major, I took, and excelled, in many courses focused on the study of numerous philosophers, logicians, and courses in Logic itself. Also, during my study period for the LSAT, and during my time at Law School following LSAT studies, I extensively studied analytical/logical reasoning, arguments and fallacies, how to both construct and deconstruct the "architecture" of theories, hypotheses, and arguments step by step, among other Logic-related topics. Each student is different, and with my history of heavy coursework in Philosophy and Logic, I feel uniquely qualified to identify how I can collaborate with each student to best tailor tutoring sessions and an overall plan for them in a way that they will enjoy and allow them to unlock their full potential.

LSAT

Through just roughly two months of self-study only, and using just a single LSAT Prep book, I achieved an LSAT score well above the 90th Percentile, which was on par with median LSAT score of many of the T-14 Schools. I have also scored a few perfect scores of 180 on LSAC-Official, previously administered exams. I am confident in my ability to tackle and breakdown each and every question on the LSAT and explain why correct answers are correct and why incorrect answers are incorrect in a succinct and easily digestible manner, including teaching students how to recognize these explanations in a timely manner on test day. Each student is different, and with my history of many secondary school, undergraduate, and graduate exam success, I feel uniquely qualified to identify how I can collaborate with each student to best tailor tutoring sessions and an overall plan for them in a way that they will enjoy and allow them to unlock their full potential.
