Experienced and Proficient ACT & AP/Introductory Chemistry tutor

I am currently a senior at Auburn University pursuing a degree in Finance, with three and a half years of prior coursework in Aerospace Engineering. My academic background includes strong performance in chemistry, highlighted by earning a 97 in CHEM 1030, Introductory Chemistry. I also hold certifications in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, which I use to create structured learning materials and visual explanations for students.

I am seeking approval to tutor high school students in ACT preparation and AP and IB Chemistry, as well as college students enrolled in introductory chemistry courses. I have approximately one year of one on one tutoring experience working primarily with college aged students in Introductory Chemistry. This experience was largely volunteer based and allowed me to tailor instruction to individual learning needs.

My tutoring approach is flexible and student focused. I explain concepts using step by step breakdowns, real world examples, and guided practice depending on the student’s learning style. I regularly create custom practice problems and use whiteboards and presentation slides to reinforce understanding and problem solving skills.

I earned a 33 on the ACT, including perfect scores of 36 in Science and Reading, which supports my ability to tutor ACT Science, Reading, and test strategy skills. I also bring leadership and mentoring experience from serving as Fraternity President in college and Class President in high school. My academic honors include Magna Cum Laude recognition, President’s Club, Beta Society membership, and Track Team Captain.

My academic foundation, tutoring experience, and adaptable teaching methods qualify me to tutor high school and college students in chemistry and ACT preparation.
