Olivia I.

Hello! My name is Olivia and I graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science in Biosystems Engineering in 2021 and a Masters of Science in Biosystems Engineering in 2022. I am currently a E.I., working on my Professional Engineering certification. During my education and career, I have covered a wide range of math and science courses such as Calculus, Chemistry, Biology, Hydrology, Hydraulics, and Ecology. While at Auburn, I worked part-time and was able to maintain a 3.9 GPA due to my study habits and true passion for what I was learning and I am hoping to share that with students! Currently, I am an Environmental Engineer with a background in hydrology, hydraulics, and water/wastewater treatment.

I have always loved to teach and help my fellow classmates and so I tutored both formally and informally quite extensively during my time at Auburn. I tutored online as a part-time job but also had study groups that I managed for my fellow classmates. I made large flashcard sets that were used by hundreds of students for classes like Microbiology as well.

While I am very passionate about math, science, and environment, I am also very passionate about teaching students the tools they need to be successful in the classroom aside from the curriculum. My tutoring style will of course focus on the content, but will also have a heavy emphasis on organizational/time-management skills, concentration/focus and reasoning/problem solving. With so much distraction these days, I believe it is more important than ever to give students the tools they need to improve their focus, learn how to organize and manage their school work loads, and how to study efficiently and effectively.
