Hi! My name is Troy Young, and I’m a finance major at the University of Alabama with a passion for helping younger students build confidence in their schoolwork. I specialize in tutoring elementary-level math and history, two subjects I’ve always enjoyed and found success in helping others understand.
I’ve worked one-on-one with elementary and middle school students through volunteer programs and local outreach, helping them grasp core math concepts like addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and early problem-solving. I also help students explore U.S. and world history in a fun, engaging way—focusing on key events, historical figures, and critical thinking about the past.
I take a patient, encouraging approach and adapt each session to the student’s needs and learning style. My goal is to make learning less stressful and more enjoyable so students feel proud of their progress.
