About Frank

Hi, my name's Frank. I grew up in Tuscaloosa, Alabama where I also attended the University of Alabama. For the last two years I've been living and working in Birmingham, though I still do work in Tuscaloosa fairly often.

I graduated from UA in 2010 with a Bachelor's in media production. Since then, I've been working as a video professional in various capacities: as a freelancer, as a TV station employee and as an independent TV producer. I'm in the process of establishing my own audio/video production business in Birmingham.

I've worked on wedding videos, commercials, multi-camera event videos, corporate videos, TV news promos, video art projects, narrative shorts and late-night TV shows. I can script, plan, light, shoot and edit an entire video project on my own or as part of a collaboration, all with my company's own equipment. I'm most comfortable editing on Avid systems, but I'm also familiar with Adobe Premiere and Apple Final Cut Pro, as well as programs like Adobe Photoshop and After Effects.

If you'd like to learn about or become more comfortable with video production and post-production, don't hesitate to drop me a line.

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Video Production

I have a bachelor's degree in Media Production from the University of Alabama. I've been working for more than five years as a freelancer, local TV station employee and independent TV producer. I own and can use thousands of dollars of video production equipment that my business owns.
