I am a very hands on person, so a lot of modeling and visual aids especially when it comes to math.
I love tutoring and teaching. It's like putting a puzzle together; finding what works for each individual and implementing it. It is a wonderful feeling helping someone to figure out a concept, whether it's reading, writing, math, etc. I love to see that "aha moment" as someone finally understands the concept.
I love math. I worked as an elementary math teacher for a semester. I also took a few calculus classes in college and loved the challenges.
I have worked as a special education aide in an elementary school setting. I have assisted many students in learning everything from learning the alphabet, sounds, vocabulary, how to read, comprehension, and fluency.
My Bachelor's degree is in Early Childhood and Elementary Education.
