Approved Subjects

Algebra 1

Algebra 1

Algebra 1 represents a critical cognitive leap from arithmetic to abstraction, frequently serving as the exact origin point for severe mathematics anxiety. Drawing upon 40 years of pedagogical experience, I translate linear equations and graphs into deeply intuitive, real-world concepts. By deploying proven nervous system resets and maintaining a naturally fun, engaging demeanor, I completely eliminate the panic associated with unknown variables. My objective is to rapidly accelerate the student's comprehension while serving as a long-term academic safeguard for the family, propelling the student toward a lifetime of mathematical confidence.
Algebra 2

Algebra 2

Algebra 2 introduces intense cognitive loads through the detailed study of polynomials, zeroes, and conic sections, frequently overwhelming a student's working memory. As an elite mathematical guide, I employ highly specific somatic regulation techniques to calm the autonomic nervous system, breaking down complex quadratic functions into approachable, manageable steps. I remove the household stress of homework battles by replacing frustration with structural resilience. My bespoke methodology gets students up to speed rapidly, ensuring they view advanced algebra not as an insurmountable hurdle, but as a gateway to lifelong STEM excellence.
Calculus

Calculus

Calculus is the profound study of continuous change; however, the introduction of limits and derivatives routinely triggers academic paralysis in highly capable students. I specialize in mitigating this high-stakes anxiety by introducing conceptual storytelling long before symbolic notation, ensuring the student deeply comprehends the mechanics of rates of change. Through a calm, patient, and highly supportive environment, I guide students out of perfectionism-induced panic. I am dedicated to multi-year mentorship, transforming students from struggling learners into deeply confident, university-ready mathematicians.
Differential Equations

Differential Equations

Differential equations is the study of equations that involving one or more derivatives of functions. The differential equation governs an unknown function, which is related to its own derivates. For example: What equation's rate of change is half of the equation itself? It is noteworthy that students are often required to prove that solutions exist, and that the solutions are unique, prior to actually deriving the solutions. The challenge of this course is a fascinating and complex study, in which differential equations are self-referential. I have found that students appreciate the meta of this subject, within the equations' meaning and the process of obtaining solutions.
GED

GED

Returning to mathematics to secure a GED often involves confronting decades of deeply entrenched academic trauma and fixed-mindset beliefs. I offer a remarkably safe, deeply empathetic, and judgment-free environment where past educational negative narratives are systematically dismantled. By demonstrating how foundational arithmetic and algebra actively operate in daily life, I build immediate, practical confidence. My naturally calm and encouraging approach regulates the nervous system, allowing students to bypass their historical fears, rapidly master the curriculum, and achieve their long-held educational goals.
Geometry

Geometry

Geometry challenges students to blend visual spatial reasoning with rigorous deductive proofs, a unique cognitive combination that frequently causes severe overload and frustration. I serve as a stabilizing guide, utilizing proven psychological scaffolding to lower the student's panic threshold when faced with complex polygons and spatial theorems. By treating mistakes as critical biological mechanisms for neuroplasticity, I foster a deeply engaging, fun learning atmosphere. I partner with families to entirely remove parental math anxiety from the household, accelerating spatial comprehension for permanent academic resilience.
GMAT

GMAT

The Quantitative and Integrated Reasoning sections of the GMAT require exceptionally rapid, out-of-the-box strategic thinking under extreme time pressure, a dynamic that routinely triggers an amygdala hijack. I provide bespoke, elite test-preparation services designed to completely eliminate catastrophic forecasting and time-induced panic. By teaching advanced, customized strategies and enforcing cognitive pacing, I stabilize the testing environment. My 40 years of expertise act as a profound psychological anchor, rapidly elevating quantitative scores while equipping professionals with the executive resilience required for top-tier MBA admissions.
GRE

GRE

Achieving dominance on the GRE Quantitative section requires far more than basic high school mathematics retention; it demands impeccable executive function and emotional regulation under strict, high-stakes testing constraints. I specialize in intercepting testing anxiety before it depletes working memory. By deconstructing the unique format of the exam and instilling elite, out-of-the-box analytical strategies, I replace testing dread with systemic, calm execution. I offer an uncompromising, highly supportive partnership that rapidly accelerates score potential, providing a critical competitive advantage for graduate school applications.
Microsoft Excel

Microsoft Excel

Microsoft Excel remains the single most indispensable analytical tool in the modern business environment, yet its vast array of formulas and syntax can easily overwhelm moderately experienced users. I provide highly structured, engaging instruction that transforms data anxiety into professional mastery. From fundamental keyboard efficiencies to complex data manipulation and formatting, I demystify the spreadsheet ecosystem. My calm, methodical teaching style ensures that professionals and students alike rapidly absorb critical analytical skills, gaining a permanent, lifelong advantage in their corporate and academic endeavors.
Prealgebra

Prealgebra

Prealgebra is the crucial bridge connecting basic arithmetic to advanced mathematical generalization, and it is the absolute ideal intervention point to permanently prevent the onset of math anxiety. I introduce the concept of unknown variables through highly relatable, real-world analogies, transforming abstract fears into engaging, fun puzzles. By creating a collaborative environment that explicitly celebrates intellectual curiosity, I lay an unbreakable cognitive foundation. My goal is to establish a multi-year relationship with families, ensuring students enter advanced mathematics with profound resilience and deeply rooted confidence.
Precalculus

Precalculus

As the final preparatory stage before university-level mathematics, Precalculus integrates dense polynomial studies, trigonometry, and the introduction of limits. This immense cognitive load frequently triggers intense academic panic. Operating as an external prefrontal cortex for my students, I provide immediate physiological regulation through a calm, unhurried, and highly supportive demeanor. I utilize physical props and visual conceptualization to make complex circular functions intuitive. I ensure rapid curriculum acceleration while protecting the student's psychological well-being, securing a seamless, confident transition into Calculus.
SAT Math

SAT Math

The mathematics portion of the SAT represents a high-stakes gatekeeper for elite university admissions, making it a primary source of severe household stress and PMEA. I specialize in decoupling a student's self-worth from standardized testing pressure. By providing a proprietary breakdown of exam formatting and deploying specific techniques to counteract the "speed versus depth" fallacy, I eliminate testing paralysis. My four decades of experience provide the ultimate academic safeguarding, replacing parental anxiety with absolute certainty, and guiding students to their maximum scoring potential with calm, strategic precision.
Trigonometry

Trigonometry

The detailed study of circles, inverse functions, and complex trig identities requires significant abstract visualization, often resulting in sudden cognitive shutdowns. I actively intercept this frustration by translating the movement of sine and cosine waves into highly tangible, engaging, and deeply intuitive concepts. Through the precise use of somatic regulation and a deeply empathetic teaching style, I substantially lower the barrier to entry for complex graphing. My instruction provides immediate household relief by accelerating the student's comprehension and cultivating a permanent appreciation for advanced mathematics.
