Throughout my career, I have especially enjoyed working with English Language Learners. I love learning about my students cultural and linguistic backgrounds and supporting them in their journey to learn English. I have a Master’s degree in teaching English and Social Studies and I have an additional graduate certificate in teaching English Language Learners.
It’s important to me that my teaching is culturally responsive and that I always meet my students where they are at.I use artful teaching techniques, and critical thinking strategies to support my students’ learning. I also really believe learning should be fun so each of my lessons mix in humor, games, and unique activities.
