I work with students and families who are feeling overwhelmed by school and are not sure what to do next. I am a current elementary school principal and former special education teacher with over 10 years of experience in public education. I hold advanced degrees in education and have extensive experience supporting students with executive functioning challenges, ADHD, IEPs, and 504 plans. Throughout my career, I have worked with students in elementary and middle school in both classroom and one-on-one settings, helping them build the academic and organizational skills needed to succeed.
In my tutoring sessions, I provide individualized, one-on-one support focused on executive functioning, study skills, and academic organization. I help students improve time management, task initiation, planning, and follow-through using simple, repeatable systems that can be used both in and out of school. My tutoring approach is practical and structured, while still being supportive and flexible based on each student’s needs. I primarily work with students who are capable but feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure how to manage their workload, and I focus on helping them build confidence and independence over time.
I also support families by reviewing IEPs and school plans and helping them better understand available services, accommodations, and goals. I provide clear, actionable guidance so families can effectively advocate for their child in school meetings. My experience working within school systems allows me to offer realistic, informed recommendations that align with how schools operate, which is something many tutors cannot provide.
If you are looking for tutoring support in executive functioning, ADHD, or navigating school services, I would be glad to work with you. My goal is to reduce stress, create clarity, and help students build skills that lead to long-term success both in and out of the classroom.
