I'm a front-end dev with 5yoe full-time. I know how to code, but have bad math / algorithms anxiety that makes studying for interviews challenging. I've tried self-studying as I know the resources are all out there, but I panic which hinders my ability to learn. I'm looking for a tutor that understands and can teach algorithms but moreso is patient and reassuring who might be able to coach me.
As far as my abilities go, I'm somewhat okay with arrays and not great with trees. I've noticed I struggle with breaking down subproblems, accounting for edge cases, and get kind of lost in keeping track of indices. I also don't know Python which I want to pick up but that's less of an issue. I'm not planning on interviewing anytime soon, just likely in two years and know that my math anxiety is a problem I need to address.
I'd prefer to meet up in person if possible - I'm in East Village and can travel around NYC.

I’m a Biology Major currently enrolled in Orgo 1 . I have been failing this course thus far and my semester is almost over. However I will retaking the course in May. I got to ASU and the courses are accelerated. I also learn differently. I’m currently looking to meet twice a week.

As a parent, I am concerned about my son's academic progress and well-being. Despite being a bright child, he seems to be struggling in his kindergarten class and is falling behind his peers. He has a short attention span and tends to act hyperactively, making it difficult for him to fully participate in class. While he does have an Individualized Education Program (IEP) in place and is in an integrated classroom, I believe that he could benefit from extra support and guidance from a tutor. I am looking for someone who can work with him one-on-one and help him thrive in the classroom setting.
