I'm the mom of a 1st grader. She has an EIP for being behind academically since February 2026. She has now started 1st grade in an ICT class and she would benefit from a one-on-one support to help her read independently. Overall, she needs to boost her confidence in her academics.

I’m currently looking for an **in-person tutor** for my 6-year-old son, who is in 1st grade. I’m looking for someone who is patient, experienced with young children, and can help strengthen his academic skills.

I'm looking for a Chinese tutor for my son in Kindergarden. He's been in immersion school since 2, but my husband and I don't speak Mandarin (my husband speaks Cantonese) so we're having trouble practicing at home. We're looking for someone at least once a week to come over and get him excited about speaking.

My son and his best friend (both 15 yo) are hoping to learn Mandarin with in-person lessons. Their goal is to get through the HSK program and eventually do a program there. We live in Greenpoint and his friend in Chelsea.

I'm looking for in-person Spanish tutoring for my kids: my 7-year-old daughter primarily but I also have 4-year-old son that I would also like to be learning more Spanish.
A bit of context: my mother-in-law lives with us and only speaks Spanish, and my husband speaks Spanish too — so the kids are surrounded by the language. What they're missing is rigor: structured learning that gets them genuinely fluent with their family, instead of just picking up words here and there.

I’m looking for an experienced elementary educator to provide in person, one on one instruction for my 10 year old daughter, currently in 5th grade.
This is not traditional after school tutoring. I’m looking for someone who can serve as her primary homeschool educator for the remainder of the school year, approximately 3 to 4 hours per day, 3 to 4 days per week.
The teacher should be comfortable teaching and planning across 5th grade ELA, math, science and social studies, tracking progress, assigning independent work and providing regular feedback.
She’s an academically capable child and a particularly strong reader. She responds well to individualized instruction and occasional redirection.
Prior elementary classroom teaching experience strongly preferred. Experience with NYC independent or public schools is a plus.
This is a consistent daytime position through the remainder of the academic year.
