We are looking for in-person reading tutoring for our 4-year-7-month-old son. He can currently recognize and write both uppercase and lowercase letters, but we would like to help him build a stronger, more structured foundation in early reading.
Our main focus is on phonemic awareness and phonics—particularly letter-sound relationships, blending sounds together, decoding simple words (such as CVC words), and gradually progressing toward independent reading.
We would like to start with an introductory session to see how he responds to your teaching approach. We are flexible and can have the sessions at our home or at your location, depending on what works best.
If he responds well, we would be interested in continuing approximately twice a week. With your permission, we would also like to record portions of the lessons so we can reinforce the same techniques with him during the remaining days of the week. We would be happy to follow any practice activities or homework you recommend between sessions.
Please let us know if this age group and these learning goals would be a good fit for your tutoring approach.
