My daughter is a senior taking AP Calc BC this semester. She generally understands the concepts and does fine on homework, but consistently struggles on the quizzes and exams. Looking for a tutor to assist in these areas.

I am looking for a tutor for my child, focusing mainly on reading and writing.
Specifically, we would like support with reading comprehension, and building writing skills based on reading. My child’s reading level is around AR 3.5. We are hoping for a tutor who can check comprehension through discussion and questions, and help organize ideas from reading into writing.

I am looking for a tutor for my child, who is currently in 3rd grade (K3).
Background:
My child moved to the U.S. about 6 months ago
AR level is approximately 3.0–3.5
Reads early chapter books well (e.g., Dragon Masters)
Can read Harry Potter, though comprehension is supported by prior familiarity with the story
Goal:
Before returning to Korea, we would like to focus on leveling up reading comprehension and writing, rather than basic ESL skills.
Specifically, we are looking for support in:
Reading comprehension (main idea, details, cause & effect, inference)
Logical thinking through reading (answering “why” and “how” questions)
Paragraph writing (opinion writing, short responses, story retelling)
Instruction style we are hoping for:
Discussion-based reading (not just reading aloud)
Encouraging the student to explain ideas verbally before writing
Sentence expansion → paragraph writing
Emphasis on reasoning and structure rather than grammar drills alone
Ideal tutor profile:
Experience teaching elementary reading and writing (ELA)
Familiarity with U.S. elementary standards
Experience working with strong readers who are ESL is a plus
We are hoping to follow an 8-week structured plan, meeting 1–2 times per week.

I am a parent seeking tutoring support for my 6th grader in math and science curriculum. My child is bright and motivated ( at times), but they’ve been having a tough time keeping up with the curriculum and could really benefit from some structured reinforcement. Our goals are to strengthen understanding of the material, and build skillset. More than anything, we’re looking for someone patient, encouraging, and good at meeting kids where they are. We are open to meeting in person at our home or in a public place. I would like to learn about how you approach teaching and relating to our creative, eclectic pre-teen.
