I'm looking for an in home piano teacher for my second grade son (turning 8 in a few weeks). He's a beginner, but has been loving learning piano in music class at school. His music teacher recently sent a note that he's been writing some of his own basic songs and she thought he could benefit from more dedicated instruction. In addition to teaching basic music theory and piano, we'd love to find somebody who can nurture his musical creativity. We are looking for weeknight evenings -- Mondays at 5:00 or later would be ideal, but we could make Wednesdays work as well. We do have animals in the home (dogs and parakeets) in case allergies are a concern.

I'm currently working as an MA in Ortho Trauma at MGH and studying for the MCAT. I am planning on taking it on March 20th. I have been studying for about 2 months and have completed the content review, but I feel somewhat stuck with passage-style questions and strategy. I would love to meet to see if you are available for tutoring and possibly come up with a game plan.
