My husband is looking for a teacher in English as a Second Language. He has taken conversational lessons on Preply with someone for a few years but his foundation in grammar, writing, and pronunciation needs help to become stronger. He would like to be able to meet in person for classes a few days a week as working online hasn't been super helpful for him although he could also meet online 1 day a week if needed and do the other classes in person. Afternoons work best for us as I would be driving him over and I finish work around 4:30pm.

My son goes to Middle School, he has started his 7th grade this year. We would like to get him some support in Math and English once or twice per week on a long term basis. Mostly help with homework, accountability, preparing for tests and in general helping him get more confident.

My son is a high-school student with two years before college. He has struggled with reading and writing since early elementary school and needed tutoring beginning in kindergarten. When he was younger, he frequently confused letters such as b/d and g/p. Reading and writing have continued to be his weakest areas, while math and science are much stronger for him.
He has been educated through an unschooling approach in recent years, so there may also be academic gaps from not following a traditional English curriculum. Our goal now is to determine his actual reading and writing level, identify the specific areas causing difficulty, build those foundational skills, and prepare him for college-level work, dual enrollment, and eventually the SAT.
