Before we start, I’d like to share my expectations so we can make the lessons as effective as possible.
My top priority is to improve my ACT English score, so I’d like our lessons to be focused specifically on ACT English rather than general English improvement.
I’d really appreciate it if we could follow a structured approach:
Diagnostic assessment: I’d like to start by identifying my strengths and weaknesses in ACT English.
Targeted instruction: Please focus on the grammar rules, question types, and strategies that will have the biggest impact on my score.
Mistake analysis: I’d like to review my incorrect answers carefully and understand why I got them wrong.
Track recurring mistakes: Please keep track of the types of questions I repeatedly miss so we can work specifically on those areas.
Time management: I’d like to practice answering questions accurately while also improving my speed.
Homework after every lesson: This is very important to me. I would like to have ACT English homework after each class so I can continue practicing between lessons.
Homework review: I’d like to spend some time reviewing my homework mistakes in the following lesson.
Regular progress checks: It would be helpful to take timed ACT English sections regularly to see whether my score is improving.
I’m looking for a tutor who can be very focused on score improvement and help me develop a clear strategy for reaching my target score.
I’m willing to work hard outside of class as well, so please feel free to give me challenging but manageable homework.

I’m looking for a tutor to help me learn data structures and algorithms in Java. I’m taking a semester off from college and want to use this time to really understand the material.
