My goal is to become adept at data science practices as I am currently in school getting my masters in applied analytics. Post grad my field may be a analytical field so wanted to build the foundations for a data science so that I can transition into it at a later date.

I'm looking for a chess coach for my son (7 years old, rising 2nd grader), who's young and early in his chess journey. He's been learning through ChessKid and is a strong intermediate for his age.
His Chess Kids puzzle rating is over 1200, so he has a great eye for combinations. However, his slow chess rating is at 800. He seems to struggle with pacing himself in longer games and could use focus on positional understanding, planning when there are no immediate tactics, and slowing down to use his clock effectively.

I grew up in Jordan, but weirdly I never learned how to speak Arabic fluently. My parents kind of westernized me so I could adapt when we moved, but now they both say their biggest regret is not enforcing Arabic more when I was younger.
I’m not bad at Arabic—I can speak it, read it, and write it a little. I just can’t always understand what I’m reading. My reading and writing are probably around a second-grade level. I think my speaking is okay, but I really lack vocabulary. I can express how I feel on a basic level, but I want to be able to go on and on without getting stuck or switching to English.
I’d really love to become fluent and feel more connected to the language.

I'm looking for a tutor for my rising 3rd grader who can help him with math and reading/writing. I'm hoping for in-person classes once a week during the school year, starting in September. If you're available and interested, we could schedule a trial session next week. We live in South Harlem.
Thank you so much,
Amanda
