I'm looking for a reading and writing tutor for my 14-year-old son. He's diagnosed with ASD Level 1 and ADHD-inattentive, on Concerta and doing well academically (96% English, 91% Biology). His strengths are decoding, vocabulary, and literal comprehension. His weakness is inferential reading and constructed-response writing ā he knows content but loses points because he doesn't parse prompts carefully and underwrites his answers.
Immediate goal: a 4-week sprint to prepare him for the NYS Biology (Living Environment) Regents in June (target 85+). His biology teacher confirmed he doesn't need a content tutor ā he needs help with the reading/writing scaffolding around the science. After the Regents, we'd want to continue longer term with SAT reading/writing prep and academic writing support.

I am a pediatrician and am looking for in-person beginner guitar lessons - I'd like to get to intermediate level to be able to play a range of songs to sing for/with my daughter who is turning 4. I took piano and violin as a kid, and I currently sing in a choir, so I have a good background.
