Calculus Student in Pittsburgh, PA 15215 19.3 mi

My son is currently a high school junior taking AP Calculus. He has crippling anxiety at times, and when he feels overwhelmed it is hard for him to listen. Therefore, every new concept is a hurdle. The college majors he is looking at all require Calc 2 & Calc 3. With the help of his current tutor, he has been able to memorize enough to get B's in math (and A's in the rest of his classes). There seems to be the potential for him to connect better to the material, be able to anticipate where concepts are going OR regain the curiosity his younger self had about math. A higher grade would be nice, but it's really the goal is to increase self-confidence and build a deeper understanding of fundamentals to propel him through the next few years of learning.
