Our kiddo is entering Junior year and was hoping to get some tailored in-person tutoring once a week, (Sat or Sun), in person for Algebra II and ACT prep. She's got a B average in math, mostly on account of finding the problem sets a bit of a slog, and double bodying really helps her to focus.
Re: the ACT, she did get a 29 on her pre act last April, but we are hoping to help her up past a 30. Since math is the weakest link, we have been in the market for a tutor. We tried Galin but they're still using the legacy paper version - familiarity with the actual format is pretty important to her, for example, she could definitely use some help mastering some tricks with the ACT version of the DESMOS calculator, and just using the timer provided to make sure she's not going to run over, solve problems more efficiently, etc.
If you are available in the upcoming year, and are familiar with the new Enhanced ACT/DESMOS calculator format, we'd love to meet up and discuss a plan. We also live in Verona.

My son is little behind in literacy/language arts and could use some extra support in reading comprehension, writing and vocabulary. We are looking for a tutor who can work with him during summer and continue throughout the school year as he starts 8th grade.
