I am currently looking for the "right" piano teachers for my two daughters, ages 14 and 11. They started taking lessons 7 years ago at Castro Valley School of Music. Then, the pandemic hit; and they switched to online classes. They had several teachers with gaps in between. While the online classes were somewhat useful to keep their skills at a certain level, they did not improve much. And for more than a year jow, they did not play the piano at all. They are probably still closer to a beginner level. Hence the reason, I am looking now for someone "to fill in the gaps" and who can bring them up to a "good, basic level" - both in theory and in playing the piano. What do I mean by "good and basic level"? In a nutshell, my goal for my daughters is to be able to comfortably read sheet music and play the piano at an intermediate/early advanced level. Can a tutor please let me know:
- How much is each lesson?
- What the cost would be for a month/per child?
- How long the lessons are?
- Discounts for siblings?
- If any tutors are willing to go to homes or teach at a specific location?
We live in Castro Valley. And I would love the idea of in-home piano lessons.
