I am reaching out to inquire about private math tutoring for my son, who just started his freshman year of high school and is currently taking Algebra 1.
He has a solid foundation in math after working through Kumon since 6th grade, and he is doing well in his current coursework. However, we feel he has outgrown Kumon's focus on repetitive practice. Our goal now is to shift his focus toward conceptual, theoretical math—helping him build deep problem-solving skills, understand the logic behind mathematical structures, and develop strong analytical thinking beyond standard computational drills.

I’m looking for a tutor for a 13-year-old student who is very STEM-focused but wants more rigorous training in critical reading, critical thinking, argumentation, and analytical essay writing.
We are not just looking for homework help or admissions-essay editing. Ideally, the sessions would use challenging texts, discussion, thesis development, writing, and revision.

Our son is preparing for the ISEE, but we’re looking for more than traditional test prep. We’d like a tutor who can identify any gaps or areas where he needs additional support, strengthen his overall academic foundation, and challenge him beyond the minimum requirements of his current curriculum. Our goal is for his ISEE preparation to be part of broader, organic academic growth—building his skills, confidence, curiosity, and ability to think independently across the board.

Looking for a practicing employment law attorney in the LA area to mentor my son, a 2nd-year law student, before he applies for summer positions.
Mix of Zoom and in-person. Not real casework — we'd want to build hypothetical employment law scenarios and work them start to finish: intake, issue-spotting, drafting, negotiation strategy, even mock interviews toward the end. Goal is for him to walk into interviews knowing the practice area inside out and speaking with real confidence.
Open to plaintiff-side or defense-side attorneys. If you enjoy teaching or have mentored law students/junior associates before, I'd love to hear from you.

I’m looking for an experienced in person reading/literacy tutor for my daughter, who just entered 5th grade,
I’m hoping to find someone who can help strengthen her reading skills and spelling, while also identifying any areas where she may need additional support. Ideally, I’d like someone with a strong background in literacy instruction rather than general academic/homework tutoring.
