I'm a front-end dev with 5yoe full-time. I know how to code, but have bad math / algorithms anxiety that makes studying for interviews challenging. I've tried self-studying as I know the resources are all out there, but I panic which hinders my ability to learn. I'm looking for a tutor that understands and can teach algorithms but moreso is patient and reassuring who might be able to coach me.
As far as my abilities go, I'm somewhat okay with arrays and not great with trees. I've noticed I struggle with breaking down subproblems, accounting for edge cases, and get kind of lost in keeping track of indices. I also don't know Python which I want to pick up but that's less of an issue. I'm not planning on interviewing anytime soon, just likely in two years and know that my math anxiety is a problem I need to address.
I'd prefer to meet up in person if possible - I'm in East Village and can travel around NYC.

I’ve been really impressed with your background and experience, and I wanted to reach out to see if you might be open to training or mentoring.
I’m looking to strengthen my knowledge in HVAC and possibly plumbing design including system design, load calculations, sizing, and relevant software. I’d like to go deeper into the fundamentals and practical application. Ideally, I’m thinking of meeting once or twice a week for about an hour per session.
I understand this would likely be a longer-term commitment, potentially several months, in order to properly cover HVAC and plumbing systems, calculations, and design workflows.
If this is something you’d be open to, I’d also appreciate discussing rates, especially since it would be a recurring weekly schedule.
