We have a 21month old daughter who is very much into music. We wanted to get someone to come in person to our apartment and play for her a little, perhaps show her some basics etc. Just for fun.

I grew up in Jordan, but weirdly I never learned how to speak Arabic fluently. My parents kind of westernized me so I could adapt when we moved, but now they both say their biggest regret is not enforcing Arabic more when I was younger.
I’m not bad at Arabic—I can speak it, read it, and write it a little. I just can’t always understand what I’m reading. My reading and writing are probably around a second-grade level. I think my speaking is okay, but I really lack vocabulary. I can express how I feel on a basic level, but I want to be able to go on and on without getting stuck or switching to English.
I’d really love to become fluent and feel more connected to the language.

I moved here from Japan last year. I am 42 years old and work at a bank. I live with my wife and our two daughters.
I struggle with English and would really like to improve. I am looking for someone who can help me practice simple, everyday English about 2–3 times a month. I would prefer to meet in person, at a café or a public space.

I'm looking for a tutor for my rising 3rd grader who can help him with math and reading/writing. I'm hoping for in-person classes once a week during the school year, starting in September. If you're available and interested, we could schedule a trial session next week. We live in South Harlem.
Thank you so much,
Amanda

I’m looking to work with a tutor once a week for one hour, beginning around July 31 and continuing on a consistent day each week through August and September.

I'm looking for support for my daughter, who will be entering 3rd grade in the fall. We're hoping to provide consistent reading and writing instruction over the summer to help prevent regression and continue building her confidence and skills.
