I am reaching out on behalf of our nanny. She has been in the US for a few years and has come a long way in her English, but wants to continue learning. She really struggles with phonics, which impacts her ability to spell, and therefore read, and therefore progress in her learning. She is enrolling with the Sullivan Center in the fall but is looking for a tutor 1x/week to help really drill the phonics that she has difficulty with. Her native language is Nepali, so the heavy Spanish language base of the students at Sullivan limits how much they are able to address the specific areas where she needs support. She is waiting to hear from the Sullivan Center on their schedule, but generally is available in the mornings from 9am-12pm.
