My partner Erkan and I are based in White Plains and would like to learn conversational Spanish quickly, mainly for travel and everyday interactions.
We are both working professionals with busy schedules, so we are looking for a practical, conversation-focused approach (ideally with some flexibility for evening or occasional weekend sessions). If possible, we’d prefer lessons together as a couple.
Could you please let us know:
- Your availability in White Plains (in-person or hybrid)
- Recommended lesson frequency for fast progress
- Your approach (conversation vs. grammar balance)
- Rates and any package options
We are motivated to start soon and would appreciate your guidance on the most effective learning plan for us.
Thank you in advance,
Best regards,
Fotios

I have an academic (undergrad and grad) background in Japanese art history/Nihonga - from the Meiji-early Showa eras. I would love to get more proficiency in being able to talk about this or read Japanese written about art. I also attended JET in Aomori for a year, I achieved N4 there. I would be interested in working towards N3 eventually, but I have let my skills lapse since I returned almost two years ago, so I need to practice N4 and kanji on my own. I am also just interested in being able to feel more comfortable freely communicating. I have been a long time language student and have learned that I get rather anxious to make mistakes, so I want to work towards caring less about that!
Other goals would be reaching a point I could do some light/easy reading in Japanese, either manga or YA novels.
I don't really have a professional reason at the moment for needing to achieve a certain benchmark proficiency, so I am somewhat open to figuring out how I can make the learning something that feels fun!

I am looking for a Korean tutor for my 3.5 year old daughter and her 3.5 year old friend at my home on the Upper East Side. They only know a few Korean words but we would like them to eventually become conversational so they can speak with Korean speaking family members.
