I'm planning to take the MCAT on May 7, 2027, and I'd like to start studying now! I'm essentially starting from scratch when it comes to MCAT preparation, so I'm hoping our first session could be an introduction to the exam and help me develop a structured study plan.
I'd love some guidance on where to begin, including:
- Diagnostic testing: Should I take a diagnostic exam first to identify my strengths and weaknesses and determine where to focus my time?
- Study schedule/log: I'd like to create an MCAT study log and a realistic timeline leading up to May 7, including how to allocate my study time across subjects.
- Resources: What books, question banks, or other materials should I purchase or use, particularly for content review?
- Study phases: My understanding is that MCAT preparation generally starts with content review and transitions into a practice-heavy phase. I'm thinking of focusing on content review from now through January/February, then dedicating the majority of my remaining time to practice questions and full-length exams. I'd love your input on whether this is a good approach.
I learn and retain information best through active recall, practice questions, and exam-style studying, so I'd especially like to incorporate those methods early on.
For our first session, my main goal is to leave with a clear understanding of how to get started, what resources I need, and a concrete plan for the next several months.

My daughter is a senior in HS. She is feeling a bit overwhelmed and confused in both Advanced calc AB, and AP Chemistry 2. Would you be willing to work with her approx 4 hours a week? Ideal would be two sessions a week, 2 hours each, in person. We can certainly fill gaps with some virtual sessions as well if needed, we are just eager to get in a routine with someone. Can you let us know if interested?

We are looking for a tutor to help our high school freshman daughter with AP Human Geo. We think she could use some guidance on how to approach the topic, how to study, etc.

I am coming on my third time taking the Next Generation NCLEX. I recently graduated nursing school in May of 2026, so I am unsure if I struggle with content or the test itself.

Hi! I’m looking to arrange consistent Saturday tutoring sessions for my two daughters, Iris (4) and Ivy (3). I’m requesting Sunday only for this Sunday to give time for communication.
My initial thought is to schedule two hours each Saturday, allowing each girl one hour of individualized instruction. However, given their ages and attention spans, I’m open to your professional recommendations on how to structure the sessions most effectively.
We’ll be meeting at a local library that the girls have never visited before. I’m intentionally choosing a new location to establish a consistent, designated learning environment that they associate with education, focus, and structured learning.
My primary goal is to build a strong academic foundation while fostering a genuine love for learning.
Some areas I’d like to focus on include:
* Early literacy: Letter recognition, phonics, beginning sounds, rhyming, and early reading skills.
* Math: Number recognition, counting, patterns, shapes, and early number sense.
* Writing and fine motor skills: Pencil control, letter formation, and name writing.
* Language and comprehension: Vocabulary development, storytelling, listening, and following directions.
* School readiness: Building attention spans, independence, confidence, and the ability to complete age-appropriate tasks.
I understand that their developmental needs will differ, especially with Iris preparing for kindergarten, so I’d like their instruction tailored to their individual abilities.
I strongly prefer a hands-on, engaging, play-based approach rather than relying heavily on worksheets. I’m also open to incorporating movement breaks or short shared activities if you feel those would be beneficial.
