My son is reading All Quiet on the Western Front for school.
He needs help with:
•understanding themes
•analyzing quotes
•writing essays
He is struggling with English writing, especially essay structure, literary analysis, and research papers. His ideas are okay but he has difficulty organizing essays and getting started on writing assignments.
We are hoping to find a tutor who can help him improve his writing skills and guide him step-by-step with school assignments.

My wife and I are looking to further support our 2nd grade daughter with reading. Specifically, within fluency and decoding through an Orton-Gillingham approach. We would be looking for 1:1 in person tutoring twice a week (~1 hour sessions).

I am organizing a birthday party for my 6-year-old son, who really enjoys playing chess, and we are planning a chess-themed celebration. I was wondering if a tutor might be available to lead a fun chess activity for the children.
The idea would be something light and engaging for kids—perhaps a short introduction, a few puzzles, and a small friendly tournament.
Here are the tentative details:
• Location: Somerville / Cambridge, Massachusetts
• Date: April 4 or April 5, 2026
• Age group: around 6 years old
• Number of children: approximately 20
Please let me know if this is something a tutor would be interested in, as well as availability and rates.
