I’m looking for a physics tutor for my daughter, who is a 10th-grade student taking Advanced Studies Physics 2. It is a rigorous, algebra-based course that goes beyond her previous Accelerated Physics course and is similar in level and content to AP Physics 2/introductory college physics.
The course covers mechanics review, electric force/field/potential, electric circuits, magnetism and electromagnetism, geometric and physical optics, waves and sound, thermodynamics, and quantum/atomic/nuclear physics. The course uses the OpenStax College Physics for AP Courses text along with a school-developed course manual.
She is currently having particular difficulty with electricity and circuits, but I believe she also needs to strengthen some underlying physics concepts and problem-solving skills.
We’re looking for someone who can do more than help her complete homework. Ideally, the tutor would identify gaps in her understanding, rebuild the necessary foundations, and then help her understand and solve the more advanced problems in her current course.
