I'm looking for a weekly in-home reading tutor for my 7-year-old daughter Maddie in Falls Church. She's not behind academically in a dramatic way, but she's struggling with confidence around independent reading. She loves being read to and is curious and creative, but gets frustrated and avoids reading on her own.
What I'm really looking for is someone who can build her confidence and make reading feel like something she's good at — not remediation so much as encouragement with good technique behind it.
