I’m preparing for the Electrical Training Alliance/IBEW apprenticeship aptitude test for Local 98. I’m 38 and returning to Algebra I after many years away from it. The math section focuses on algebra, functions, formulas, tables and number sequences without a calculator.
I’m looking specifically for in-person tutoring, preferably in or near Northwest Philadelphia. I want a genuine algebra refresher along with timed preparation built around the official sample questions. Would you be comfortable reviewing those materials, giving me an initial diagnostic and developing a targeted study plan for the exam?

Student has already taken SAT once and used a tutor to prepare. The objective is to spend 3 or 4 weeks focusing on areas he gets questions incorrect and learn these topics to boost score by at least 100 points.

I am looking for a long-term programming mentor for my 14-year-old son who will be entering 9th grade this fall. Our goal is not simply for him to learn Python. We hope he will gradually develop logical thinking, independent problem-solving skills, confidence, and a lifelong interest in computer science. In the future, he hopes to join his high school’s FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) team, so we would like to help him build a strong foundation now.

I'm preparing to begin my Master's in Cybersecurity this fall. Before starting the program, I'll be taking a Foundation Computer Science course CS 01501 – Essentials of Computer Science I. Since the course covers computer science fundamentals, systems programming, scripting, algorithms, and secure programming practices, I'd like to build a strong foundation in Python beforehand. I'm looking for a tutor who can teach me Python from the basics, help me develop good programming habits, and prepare me for the programming concepts I'll encounter in both the Foundation Computer Science course and my graduate cybersecurity studies.
