A Few Tutor Qualifications
I already have helped over 20 persons with their Spanish needs with positive results.
My campus job required helping students and faculty with miscellaneous Mac issues and troubleshooting. I've also been a lifelong user of Macs.
I have been an educator for 29 years. I am currently serving a Houston area district as their Director of Elementary Language Arts. I have served another Houston area district as their Coordinator of Secondary Language Arts. I taught educational prep courses at Lone Star College for 4 years. I enjoy teaching adults that want to become teachers; your heart has to be in the right place to go into education today. I can give 'real' examples to help prepare for the test and answer most questions students have...from discipline, to parent conferences, to pedagogy, to building relationships with students, to how to interview. Talking with someone who is actually in the field daily, interacting with students, teachers, administrators and parents gives me an advantage.
I've been teaching Photoshop to adults and teens for 13 years. Its such an amazing program with endless possibilities.

I taught algebra and pre-algebra for a number of years in a Minneapolis charter high school. It was great fun helping students move from memorizing operations to understanding how numbers work together. I have lots of tricks and tips to help speed up that understanding. The best thing is seeing students light up when things start to make sense!
Spanish is my first language and I love teaching it. I have found very effective ways to teach my own kids Spanish and will use those same techniques and more to help you or your loved ones learn the language.
I have been playing and watching basketball my entire life. I played at the high school level, and have experience coaching middle school basketball recreational teams. I still play on a weekly basis in pickup games and intramural leagues. I hope to be able to teach others about a game I am so passionate about.
Other Requests From Students Like You
I'm thinking about home schooling my two children. One is 13 attending 8th grade and the other is 8 attending 3rd grade starting fall semester. I'm very interested in working out a weekly schedule and finding someone who knows the state curriculum to help me with the process . My wife and I would love to meet with you in the near future so we can get to know you a bit also to see if its something you would be interested in doing. I would need consulting on the best way I should structure a home schooling environment to get the best out of my children if we decide to go this path.
