My daughter is a sophomore in Raleigh and will officially start the IB program in the fall. She is a strong student, independent and organized so I think she’ll do well in the program.
I do know it’s a challenging curriculum. She’s expressed doubts about her writing ability and her courses this year didn’t involve many opportunities for her to work on these or get feedback. Knowing her I think working with someone one on one to help with her confidence going into her junior year would be really helpful. We would also be interested in learning more about how you support students as they prepare for the SAT.

I’m writing on behalf of my sister. She has been homeschooled her whole life and is looking for an English tutor. She needs help with general English skills, including writing, grammar, essays, and other topics that students typically learn in a traditional school setting.
Her English subject skills are currently weak, so she will need someone who is patient and willing to work with her step-by-step as she builds her foundation. We are looking for someone who can take the time to help her improve and gain confidence in reading and writing.
