I was wondering if someone can prepare my son for his final on calculus. I believe his final is on August the 7. He has one week to get ready.

I have an exam coming up for physics 2 with calculus. I didn’t do so well on the first exam. I thought I would have from all my studying but it didn’t seem to click or help.

Physics Student in Newberry, FL 32669 7.8 mi

I am currently taking PHY1007 (medical physics). I am struggling in the class and would really appreciate some advice on what I can do to better understand the material and pass the course. I am just having a hard time learning the material because there is no practice work provided, and I am struggling to understand the explanations he has provided, as it does not explain what I am needing to learn very well (for example, he will give an example problem with a solution but no explanation or breakdown of how to find the answers). I have tried using tutoring through Santa Fe college (where I am attending) and outside of the college, but with the lack of practice problems to show, it is hard for the tutors to know exactly what to help me with, even when I try my best to explain where I am having difficulties. I have also tried outside resources like Khan Academy, but they teach the material differently than my instructor, and I have trouble making the connection between the two. I am good at math but my biggest issue I am having is figuring out which formulas I need to use to solve the problems and how to work through them. There are SO MANY different formulas I have to memorize along with all of their different variations. I am almost 40 and have been out of school for almost 20 years and the way students learn and the way teachers teach today is very different than what I am use to.
