I'm looking for a private MCAT tutor ahead of my July 31 test date.
A little about my situation: my baseline score is a 489, and I've been enrolled in a Princeton Review online course for the past two weeks, but it's not working for me. It's too passive and non-interactive, and I learn much better with direct, engaged instruction. I'm also currently taking Organic Chemistry at Foothill College (Tues/Thurs afternoons), so I have some active science coursework happening alongside my MCAT prep.
I have about 10 weeks until my test date and I'm serious about making the most of them. Your message about improving your score in 6 weeks made me really hopeful. I'm looking to meet 2–3 times per week, around 2 hours per session. My availability is generally Mon, Wed, and Fri mornings, plus weekends, though I'm flexible.
I'm located at Stanford and would like to meet in-person, ideally in the Stanford library or somewhere on campus. I'd love to set up a brief intro call to see if we'd be a good fit.

I’m looking for some reading and phonics support for my son. He is finishing 1st grade this year.
He is a bright child and does well in math, and his reading comprehension is actually fairly good when someone reads with him or guides him. He also enjoys science and nonfiction topics like animals, space, and dinosaurs.
However, we’ve noticed that he struggles more with the foundational reading skills. His weak areas seem to be:
phonics
sounding out unfamiliar words
decoding longer words
syllables
spelling patterns and spelling confidence
