I have an associates from Community College in Arts in Teaching EC-4. I also have a Bachelor's Degree in Bilingual Education EC-4. I was an intern at Lee Elementary School with students in a 4th grade bilingual classroom. I was able to help the students in all the subjects but specially in math. My teaching style depends on the students because I believe students learn in different ways or styles that's why it is important to see how the students learn. I will modify or change any lesson in any way to help all the students success.

  I have learned from my career choice, Bilingual Education EC-4, different methods to use to help the students from early childhood until 4th grade. I was trained to be an elementary teachers. This is the main reason why I feel confident in working in this area. As the time passed in school, I learned how important is for the students at this level to have a good teacher/tutor to success in school. I was able to see how the elementary schools works which can help me understand the students at this level to be ale to provide them with the right lesson to help them grow. I believe that Elementary is crucial for everyone because is when school begins.

• ESL/ESOL

  As I mentioned before, I have a Bachelor's in Bilingual Education EC-4 which it's main focus is to help the ELL's students, ESOL students, to grow in their new environment and to learn their new culture and language. I took many courses that help me understand and learn about different techniques to help the ESOl students success in school. I believe in Bilingual Education because all the ESOL students must have an equal opportunity as the students that speak the language, English. I am able to modify any lesson or materials need it to help the students success.

• phonics

  As a teacher one of the most important steps in teaching reading is phonics. Phonics is the main step in teaching young childcare's how to read because is when they learn to associate letters with their sounds. I was able to take training courses to learn how to teach phonics to young children. I also had a project for a final grade where I teach phonics to a three year old kid to teach him associate letters with their sounds. I have different lessons that provide students with the right methods to learn their phonics. Phonics are important for all reading beginners so with the right methods they can learn them easily and that provide a reading success.

• study skills

  I always want it to learn different methods to improve my study skills. When I entered College, I decided to take a course to be able to learn them. So I took a course to learn different study skills that I can teach to others so they can improve grades. I believe that if we have the right study skills our grades improve because we have the knowledge in how to study. I want to help others to find their right study skills because not everyone learns the same. Having the right study skills will help the students to be ready to take a test. Study skills is one of the most important steps in school success.
