Hello! My name is Amy Jo Rowyn, but everyone calls me 'Rowyn.' I have been an educator for over twenty years, much of that time focusing on students with special needs. My teaching style is very holistic and I believe every child can succeed if given the tools to understand and LEARN.
So many kids get lost in the shuffle of large classrooms, so I have spent several years as an after-school tutor in reading and math. I have taught for Sylvan Learning Centers online as well as my own private tutoring business out of my home.
I was a public school teacher for 15 years where I taught math (a personal favorite) and reading (another passion of mine.) I am very diligent about keeping records and communicating with parents about student goals, objectives and best of all PROGRESS!
