Hi! I am a speech-language pathology graduate student at UNT, and I have many skills to share! My strong points are in math (algebra 2 and below), reading, and especially grammar. I have always been meticulous about my grammar. Other skills I have listed are reading music. I played the alto saxophone for 5 years. Also, I know everything there is to know about volleyball, softball, and track & field as I played each sport for 7+ years. My major and future profession requires me to teach speech, language, reading and writing skills to people of all ages, and I already have experience in therapy. • special needs

  Interacting with children and adults with special needs is actually something I do on a regular basis. I am a graduate student in speech-language pathology, and part of our scope of practice is providing therapy with people who may have a variety of disorders ranging from autism to cerebral palsy to dysarthria. I am currently working with an adult has been diagnosed with mental retardation and cerebral palsy. I am teaching her how to use a communication device to relay her basic needs and choices and hold conversations. I am also working with a 13-year-old boy who has dyslexia, teaching him reading and writing strategies.

• volleyball

  I have played volleyball for over 9 years, starting in middle school and continuing through high school and college intramurals. I LOVE this sport, and know the ins and outs of the current and past rules and regulations, different rotations, skills for both hitters and defensive specialists. I also took actual volleyball classes in college, which were taught by a former collegiate volleyball coach.
