More On Hannah's Subjects:

  • Japanese

I lived in Japan for fourteen years, age 4 to 18. I have spoken, written, read Japanese like it is my first language. I went to japanese school from preschool to grade 6 which is the last year in elementry school. My parents managed an english school where I lived and so even though after 6th grade I was homeschooled I was always around japanese people, my best friend is japanese also. my parents still live in japan as missionaries. I have two sisters and one brother and they are all japanese and I tought japanese to them. I was the english schools secritary from age 15 to 18. I was the one that helped interpret and transilte for my parents because they are not fluent in the language as I am. I took a japanese profiseincy test when I was almost 18 and got a level 2, 1 being the best. the test was for foreigners who wanted to get certified in speaking, reading and understanding the language. when I speak japanese I do not speak with an american accent. I have always had people in america that I have a little japanese accent in my english.
