Hi, my name is Liz. I have a B.S. in Chemistry and an MBA - both from the University of Texas at Dallas, and I graduated from North Garland High School 13th out of about 500 students, was a member of the National Honor Society, and upon graduation was awarded a scholarship by the Optimist Club in Garland, TX. Most recently I taught Kindergarten in the Garland Independent School district, while working to obtain my certification through the Alternative Certification program at iteachTEXAS. Additionally, I have several years experience teaching preschool, and in manufacturing engineering and contract administration. I enjoy science and math - and would love to have the opportunity to help students do well in these subjects as well. I enjoy the challenge of math, and I enjoy an opportunity to help students understand it better! In addition to science and math, I thoroughly enjoy reading and writing - and have always been able to write and communicate well - and would be happy to help students learn to improve their reading, writing, spelling and vocabulary skills. In summary, I truly enjoy learning new things, and would love to help students with areas they may be finding difficult - so that they too can enjoy school again!
