I'm a certified Secondary Spanish teacher with an ESL Endorsement. I have over 8 years experience teaching middle school to high school students as well as adults.I taught ESL at a language institute in Puebla, Mexico for 1 year, and I also gave private tutorial classes. I taught all levels of English from basic grammar to advanced conversation. When I returned back to the US I taught an ESL Adult Basic Education class at a community learning center in San Antonio, TX.I also taught Spanish I at the high school level for 3 years and for 4 years I lived in Austin and taught 6th grade World Cultures at a middle school. I have lot's of experience working with a diverse group of people at all levels. I also love traveling and have been to many different parts of the world from Europe to New Zealand so I'm familiar with many different cultures.My teaching style varies according to the student's learning style, therefore I try to incorporate visuals, grammar, listening skills,and as much conversation as possible.   I love teaching ESL because I enjoy meeting people of diverse ethnic backgrounds. I've done a lot of traveling and I'm familiar with different cultures. I'm fluent in Spanish and English, however English is my first language. I'm a little familiar with French and Portuguese, but I could still use a little practice. I taught ESL several years ago in Puebla, Mexico for 1 year. I taught basic ESL to Advanced Conversation at a language institute to teens and adults. During my stay that year in Puebla I also taught at La Universidad Autonoma del Estado de Puebla to university level students. Finally, I gave private tutorial classes in the evening. After my stay in Mexico I returned back to San Antonio, Texas where I'm from and I taught ESL Adult Basic Education classes at a community learning center while I was attending grad school. I'm certified to teach ESL to middle school and high schools students as well as adults. Overall, I have over 7 years of classroom teaching experience. I use a well-rounded approach to teaching and make sure my students get practice in all aspects of second language learning; listening, speaking, reading and writing.
