Absolutely use PEMDAS. (5+5)*(5+5) works out very differently than 5+5*(5+5) or 5+(5*5)+5. Since there are no parenthesis to dictate a different order, we follow PEMDAS. The order puts multiplication before addition, you would first multiply and then add.

5+(5*5)+5 = 5+25+5 = 35
