To graph y ≥ (5/8)x - 3 , first we have to graph y = (5/8)x - 3
  x  ↓ (5/8)x -3          ↓   y    ↓  (x , y) 
- 8    (5/8)*(-8) - 3      - 8       (-8,-8)
  0     (5/8)*0 - 3         - 3        (0, -3)
  8     (5/8)*8 - 3           2         (8, 2)    
Next step: plot those dots onto coordinate plane draw the line through them and shadow the area above this graph

To begin, consider the equation y=5/8x-3. To draw this function, you would have to pick some points! Important ones are of course y-intercept and x-intercept, and x=8 (5/8 * 8 is just 5 - everyone loves simple calculations!). Once you graph the function, return to the original inequality equation, that is y≥5/8x-3.

This equation indicates the parts of your graph where y is ≥ (above) the line of the function. Therefore, y≥5/8x-3 is just the upper part of the graph!
