133=-7(1-4k)

Step by Step solution:

Step 1:multiply by 1/-7 the whole equation

(1/-7)[133] = (1/-7)[-7(1-4k)] ==> 133/-7 = (1-4k) ==> -19 = (1-4k)

Step 2: add -1 the whole equation

-19-1 = -1+1 -4k ==> -20= -4k

Step 3: multiply by (1/-4) the whole equation

(1/-4)(-20)= (1/-4)(-4k) -20/-4=(-4/-4)k

5=k o k=5

133 = -7(1  - 4k)                 Given

133 = - 7(1) - 7(-4k)            Distributive property

133 = -7 + 28k                    Simplify

133 + 7 = -7 + 28k + 7        Add 7 to each side

140 = 28k                          Simplify

140/28 = 28k/28                Divide each side by 28

5 = k                                Simplify
