1 Answer

When dealing with an expression that has a linear expression as the numerator and a constant number as the  denominator, simply divide each term in the numerator by the number in the denominator. The expression (2x + 7)÷5 is equivalent to (2x/5) + (7/5), which, by the way, it is expressed as a sum.
