These are skills I use personally and professionally. I am equally comfortable teaching one-on-one as well as in the group setting. Tutoring location is flexible.

I have worked as a substitute teacher in the Wantagh School District for over five years teaching the following subjects: physical science, living environment, Italian, and pre-algebra. Privately, I have been tutoring SAT/ACT/GMAT students, middle and high school students in chemistry, algebra, living environment and elementary school students in math.

The parents of the students that I have worked with have been pleased with the one to one attention that I have given their children and with the results. I personalize my instruction to the students' interests to make the subject matter more relevant to their point of reference.

I am passionate about learning and enjoy when the individuals pick up on this enthusiasm and revisit the subject matter we are studying with a new perspective.

Knowledgeable SAT tutor

Mona has been working with my son for the last few months on SAT PREP. Between her coaching, teaching and guidance and my son’s hard work it was reflected in his very improved SAT score. Great tutor!

Knowledgeable and patient tutor

Mona has been a supportive tutor for my daughter! My daughter was nervous about starting Chemistry this year, but Mona was there from the very beginning to help her feel more confident. She took the time to review her notes and explain important concepts, checking in throughout each session to make sure my daughter fully understood the material. Mona was also very flexible and accommodating with my daughter's busy sports schedule, which we truly appreciated. I highly recommend Mona to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, supportive, and reliable tutor!

I would like to share our experience with Mona. From the moment I reached out she was quick to respond, helpful and kind. My son's first session was great. He came out of the session saying how helpful and nice she was without me having to ask. This says a lot coming from a teen that is a tough critic. He feels hopeful after feeling defeated, after taking his first PSAT and not doing as well as he wanted. She made a great impression and is going the extra mile by sending him additional practice drills in between his sessions. We're so happy that we found her and look forward to working with her!
