I am a graduate from Columbia University, fulfilling a Bachelor's program in Mathematics as well as a Master's program in Philosophy. I completed my undergraduate Philosophy degree at Brandeis University. I have also completed some coursework through MIT (Introductory programming), a joint offering from Stanford and the University of British Columbia (Introductory Game Theory), Wesleyan University (Film Theory), the Georgia Institute of Technology (Combinatorial Game Theory), the University of Maryland (History), and FSU (various early undergraduate coursework).
I have six years of experience in education, tutoring and teaching from the high school to the undergraduate level. For one year I was hired by the Philosophy Department of Brandeis University as a tutor for their course in Symbolic Logic. During the next year, I tutored privately and through Kaplan Test Prep for Symbolic Logic, the LSAT, and the GRE. For a year and a half, I served as a teaching assistant in three different courses at Columbia, and for the following year I have tutored independently and as a subcontracted tutor. I am now in the Manhattan area, tutoring independently.
I prefer to meet in Manhattan, anywhere between City College and NYU.
In addition to the subjects listed elsewhere, I am also able to tutor: Proofs or Mathematical Reasoning, Set Theory, Modern Analysis, Modern Algebra, Mathematical Logic/Advanced Logic/Computability/Modal Logic., and Game Theory. Besides math I can also tutor programming in the Python programming language. I'm also skilled with LaTeX and can tutor the production of mathematical and scientific PDFs.
