With a BS and MS in Computer Science, and also having over 10 years of experience in the IT industry, teaching math was and will always be my true passion. I currently hold 2 Certificates of Eligibility (CEs) to teach Elementary K-5 and Middle School Math. I am a substitute teacher in some of the school districts in the Union & Essex counties. Prior to joining WyzAnt, I was and am still tutoring some students on one-on-one home tutoring. I was contacted by a parent whose son had taken algebra 1, failed, was taking it the second time and was actually almost failing it again. I patiently worked with the student to get the fundamentals of the subject right, went with him over all his homework, assisted in building up his self confidence in algebra and within weeks, his math school teacher noticed a remarkable difference in his average. He was also able to offer help to some of his classmates on their homework. And of course, he passed! I have similar testimonies of students I have had to tutor over the last school year. With my experience in the corporate world, I am able to relate the relevance of math in our everyday activities to my students. I simply love to teach because that's one of the best ways to affect a life positively. My tutoring ability speaks for itself!
